Lake Los Carneros
Lake Los Carneros is the kind of place you can pass by on a daily basis without even knowing it. Just outside of Santa Barbara, north on Highway 101, all you can see is a nondescript hill from the freeway. On the other side of that hill is a wonderful spot teeming with life. The lake is home to all manner of creatures and it is close enough to stop by any time you need to get closer to nature.
